This summer, my goal has been to prepare all of the flags that I'll sell for the upcoming ice-fishing season. At last count, I am up to 862 flags on my sales board, mostly in packages of three. Once I use of my remaining fabric, I'll be done creating for the season. I should finish next week.

The coming months will be telling, given that this will be my first full season of sales with Orange Top Fishing. How many flags will I sell? I truly have no idea. Maybe it will be a handful. Maybe I'll sell out. Only time will tell. Either way, the profits I make from sales will help to offset the cost of an anniversary trip that my wife and I and planning for 2026. We hope to travel to Iceland to see the northern lights on full display.

All of this is to say that my plan is moving forward - and is right on schedule. Production is close to being done, at which time I'll be turning my attention fully on the upcoming school year.

Well, the upcoming school year - and Iceland. And ice fishing.
